I am just now starting to edit my CCR’s and I have been using IMovie to put it together and so far it is working very well.
The process is going great and by next week it should all me done.

Hi! I am back with new and fun more changes to my project.
I have been checking out some apps to use for my editing and I think that it is easiest for me to edit my video with Canva as well as I movie to put it all together and overall have it complete in a nice engaging way.
Before, I used I movie to create a mix of my clips as well as add film credits.
I intend on making them through Canva having a more specific and precise placing with meaningful font for this horror film! In the picture, it shows video and social media links that I can use to improve my film once all put together! It can also be used for my CCR!
Hey blog! I discovered a new platform where i can go check out new audios and copy right free sounds to include in my film, and I think I found the perfect add on music to go with the flow!

A difference between my last year and current CCR is that it will have more angles and have fun engaging scenery to add more plot to the video. I have learned that staying in one spot gets boring and will sooner or later bore out the viewers mind.

I've recently made a bold decision in my filmmaking journey,
I’m switching to a black and white theme for my next project, infusing it with a sense of darkness and ambiguity. This change marks a significant departure from my last film, which was a vibrant explosion of extreme colors, perfectly matching its energetic themes and lively vibe.
Why the shift? Well, I believe that a black-and-white palette can add a striking visual depth to the horror genre.
The simplicity of this color scheme allows for an eerie atmosphere that draws viewers in, making them more attuned to the nuances of light and shadow. It’s about creating a haunting space where the absence of color amplifies the tension and suspense.
In horror, ambiguity can be a powerful tool. By embracing a vague and moody aesthetic, I aim to invite audiences to engage their imagination. The lack of color prompts viewers to fill in the blanks with their own fears, making the experience more personal and intense.
It’s a way to tap into the unknown and explore themes of isolation and uncertainty, which are so central to effective horror storytelling.
Music is also going to play a huge role in my film. I plan to whip up an original score that mixes eerie melodies with unsettling sounds, really reflecting what the characters are feeling.
Plus, I want to get playful with silence. Sometimes, not having sound can be just as creepy as a loud bang. It makes the audience focus on every little noise, building that tension to a boiling point.
As I dive into this project, I’m ready to have fun with sound design.

I’m all about layering those sounds to build tension and make viewers feel on edge. The goal is to keep everyone guessing and jumping at every little noise!
And let’s talk about stings—those sudden musical hits that catch you off guard. I’m excited to use these to create some memorable jump scares. I’ve been checking out how famous filmmakers do it, and it’s fascinating how the right sound can turn a regular scare into something unforgettable.

I decided that I will begin my filming every other day starting next week to make sure I can perfect each scene and still hit all of the criteria in each section.
I have begun to plan out where I will put all my media credits and I would want them to blend in with each scene/clip so it goes along with the suspense theme in my horror film opening.
I intend to begin this on Monday, which will give me time to perfect those mistakes.

The caller seems to know too much about her, referencing personal details that send chills down her spine. As the conversation unfolds, it becomes clear that this call is not just a prank; it’s something far more sinister.
Diving into lighting
Lighting is crucial in creating fear, especially in my kitchen setting. Here’s how I plan to use it effectively
Low-key lighting will cast deep shadows, creating a feeling of unease. Dark corners will hide threats, allowing the audience’s imagination to fill in the gaps. Strategic lighting can highlight important objects; for example, a light shining on a knife.
I’ll also use color temperature to evoke emotion. Cooler tones, like blues, suggest chilliness, while warmer tones can initially imply comfort before turning ominous. Shifting from warm to cool can visually signal a character’s descent into dread.

Imagine a loved one receiving mysterious texts that hint at a dark secret tied to the kitchen’s past. It’s that juxtaposition of safety transforming into horror that really excites me.
To elevate the tension, I’m considering incorporating a “time loop” element. Picture this: our protagonist tries to escape an ominous presence, only to find themselves back at the kitchen table, trapped in their own home. Each time they loop, the stakes get higher and the sense of desperation deepens. I think this twist will keep the audience guessing and on the edge of their seats!

As I dive into its suspenseful storytelling and clever deconstruction of horror clichés, I'm learning how to build tension and create unexpected plot twists.
